Road Ready is a new 5FOLD initiative helping local young people (ages 16–24) overcome the barriers to getting their driver’s licence—so they can access work, study, family, and community life with confidence.
Learner drivers tell us that lack of a safe vehicle, financial hardship, limited support, or distance can stall progress for months (even years). Road Ready closes those gaps with a practical, people-first program built for our community.
Meet “Lenny” – Our Learner Vehicle
We’re thrilled to introduce Lenny, the newest member of the 5FOLD team – a dedicated learner vehicle that’s fuelled up and ready to help participants complete their supervised hours.

What Road Ready Delivers

Who Can Apply
Road Ready supports young people 16–24 who live in Yarrabilba or Logan Village and face challenges such as:
- No access to a vehicle or supervising adult
- Financial hardship
- Geographic isolation
- Limited community or family support

Two Ways to Get Involved
1) Learner Drivers: Complete Your Logbook Hours
If you need help completing your supervised hours, submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) on our website: roadready.5fold.org.au Look for the page titled “Ready, Set, Go – Join the Crew” and select the learner pathway.
2) Volunteer Mentors: Guide, Inspire, Empower
Our volunteer mentors are the heartbeat of Road Ready. Your encouragement and steady guidance can shape a young person’s future.
If you can spare time for supervised drives and positive coaching, submit an EOI via roadready.5fold.org.au and select the mentor pathway.
